Some clients value an ongoing partnership, with us acting as decision-support. Accordingly, we can provide a responsive, outsourced capability — combining subject matter expertise with the power of our ‘V‑Suite’ toolkit. Our clients find this model delivers high‑quality insight, aligned to evolving priorities, at lower cost than building internal capacity.
An award winning example: HSJ Provider Collaborative of the Year 2024
The North West London CYP Provider Collaborative (PC) is a long standing VOT client, which is reaping the benefit of seeking in its own words “data superiority” as it has taken forward its goal of improving CAMHS services across its ICS. The collaborative recognised that the VOT team had the visibility tools and subject matter expertise to be the right insight and transformation partner. This was likewise recognised by its host West London Trust, its head of knowledge management welcomed our ability to meet the PC’s BI needs as a good value solution compared to the in-house capability build option.

The PC’s insight needs have been met by combining provider datasets and visualising the flow of service users through the ICS and beyond when placed in out of area beds. Clinical and service leads can compare and contrast every other’s CYP services across NWL boroughs to guide thinking. This included incorporating financial ledger information on workforce and cost to understand both efficacy (e.g. recovery success) and efficiency (e.g. cost per case).
Using a suite of views to explore operating model variation, leads were able to design an optimised model and test the impact of service innovations. A next step is to join up VCSE and MHST service provision activity information to get a complete view of CAMHS wellbeing pathways across boroughs as the PC seeks to encourage and invest in what works across system partners.
